Coronavirus – Disruptions to service

With the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the wider community, and taking into account all the information and advice of the Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Health and Human Services, the Finnish Friendly Visiting Service will suspend all face-to-face social support group activities until further notice, effective at the end of this week.

These precautionary and proactive measures were put in place after lengthy discussion, and the committee and staff wish to ensure the safety of its clients, members and volunteers – many of whom fall into the more vulnerable persons category.

Our services will continue to run via telephone calls, social media and activities and articles posted on this website (please see our new tab labelled Activities To Do At Home, which will be updated on a weekly basis). We will also be sending out some information and activities via post, so look out for that in your letterbox shortly.

You can keep in contact with the FFVS via email, details are under the Contact Us page.

Please take care of yourselves and look after each other, and we will work through this challenging time together.
